M2 offers the latest levels of energy-efficient performance and capabilities to the redesign of the MacBook Air and updated 13-inch MacBook Pro.
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIAApple today unveiled M2, with the new generation of Apple silicon that is specifically designed exclusively for Mac. Based on the second-generation 5nanometer technology, M2 boosts the top-of-the-line power efficiency of the M1 and goes further by offering an 18 percent speedier CPU and an increase of 35 percent in the power of the GPU and a 40% more efficient Neural Engine. 1 It also provides 50 % more bandwidth for memory in comparison to M1, and provides up 24-GB fast uni memory. M2 adds all this, plus brand new technologies that are custom-designed and enhanced efficiency in the totally updated MacBook Air and upgraded 13.2-inch MacBook Pro.

More Transistors, More Memory
